General
Ashen Rose Media is a social media management and content creation studio made for businesses who are a bit different. If you’re looking for someone who you can trust to not water down your brand, then you’re in the right place. I specialise in social media for unconventional and niche businesses, including bands and authors!
When you work with me, you can rest assured that your business will receive the attention to detail it deserves! I work closely with founders at all points in their social media journey, offering a personalised experience to all brands. Everything I create is made without generative AI, because I believe that your business deserves better (and I personally hate it, haha)
If you’re looking to “go viral” or want “just more followers”, the Ashen Rose Media approach won’t be for you. It’s my goal to establish a digital presence that your audience can connect with, creating loyal customers that actually care about what your business has to offer.
I have monthly packages and one-off services, so you can choose what’s right for you! If you’re not sure, fill in my enquiry form and we can discuss what you could benefit from.
I’ve had quite an eclectic academic background in social science and art. I have a first-class criminology degree and have also studied digital marketing, sociology, psychology, makeup and hair.
I have a unique approach to social media that blends my various areas of study together into one, making it perfect for people who want someone with a different strategy than the rest.
You can view my portfolio here, I’m always updating it, so it’s worth checking back every once in a while!
Of course, I also create my own content on the Ashen Rose Media socials!
I’m based in Brighton & Hove. I’m able to travel to shoot monthly and one-off content for businesses located in Brighton to Worthing.
For businesses outside of this radius, I offer remote versions of my monthly packages which are editing-only. Of course, you can also have this version if you’re within my radius too!
For event coverage and one-off content shoots, I can be available travel within Sussex and London, depending on your location’s ease of access. This incurs an extra travel charge.
I’m also available for remote work internationally, operating under UK time.
Short answer: it’s not absolutely necessary, for the best experience, yes.
The long answer: it’s recommended as I will be digging into your analytics to get a full breakdown of your current content and accounts. Especially as analytics update frequently, it may be an inconvenience to you if I have to keep asking for different aspects of your stats. On top of that, I may require you to post at inconvenient times (depending on when your audience is the most active) to optimise your post’s reach.
Something I include when making carousels (picture posts) is alternative text. This involves writing a description for every slide in a post. Unless you’re comfortable pasting the descriptions on each carousel, it’s something I can’t do unless I have access to your accounts. I also do something similar with videos. Because content is made in CapCut, importing it means any text or audio has to be manually added in each app to maximise reach and make it searchable. Again, it can be done but it can seem a bit tedious when you’ve specifically hired someone to do your social media for you.
To give an extra piece of mind, I give the option to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) where I am legally prohibited from sharing any sensitive information, including passwords.
For monthly packages, I’ll first get to know you and your business, then present my findings and initial plans to you. If you like what you see, we’ll agree to work together! Then, you’ll receive your welcome pack and I’ll get to fleshing out the plans for content. Next, I’ll shoot and edit content, sending it to you in advance for approval. I’ll make any minor changes and then it’ll be ready to post!
Here's an overview:
For one-offs and commissions, the process is more or less the same but I’ll instead send a summary sheet on plans and deliverables prior to the shoot or before work commences.
Fill in a monthly package enquiry form here.
Fill in a commission enquiry form here.
Or, shoot me an email with a couple of lines describing what you're looking for.
The remote (aka editing-only) versions of my packages involve everything else you get in the package, except that content is captured by the business instead of me. You’ll get full guidance and a list on what to shoot, then you just send the footage or photos over to me to edit as normal. Because I’m not the one shooting the footage, the package price is lower to reflect that.
I offer editing-only packages for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I understand the frustration in being too far away from someone you want to work with. It’s common in the social media management world to work with people across the globe, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t excluding anyone from being able to get the service their businesses deserves! Secondly, even though my prices are competitive, I understand that they’re still out of budget for many; this is a way I can still help businesses with their social media! Thirdly, some people simply enjoy making content but not editing it!
I’m extremely opposed to AI in the creative space, which includes using it for making social media content. It’s my personal belief that it damages the industry and is harmful, both socially and environmentally. Therefore, all the content I plan, write, shoot, edit, draw and otherwise create is completely free of generative AI. It’s also in my contract that anything I create can’t be used to train any AI or LLMs, even if the contract has ended.
If you’ve used generative AI previously (or currently use it), we may not be able to work together due to a difference in values. I apologise if this sounds harsh, but it’s important that I maintain my commitment to keeping AI out of the creative industry for the sake of my fellow artists.
